WORLD IPV6 LAUNCH is 6 June 2012

On June 6 2012 leading Internet companies will officially adopt the new Internet protocol IPv6. From communications carriers to internet service provider (ISP), up to over the top (Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Tweeter, Youtube etc etc) will adopt the new protocol with continuity of service.

Why? And what changes for you?

For the end user does not change anything. Our entire network is fully dual-stack, so we are ready to provide reliable IPv6 on all our products and services. It just changes the way network addresses are assign to computers connected to the internet. More than computers we must speak of device because thre are more and more mobile phones (smartphones) that can connect to the internet and besides these we have to consider surveillance cameras, smartTV, tablet. A world that needs to be online and therefore requires increased availability of addresses. That's why IPv6 provides trillions of addresses against IPv4 addresses that are about to run out.
